Second Shooter Croatia
Photographers, are you looking for a second shooter for your wedding in Croatia ?
So this blog post is initially aimed at all destination wedding photographers heading to Croatia that would like to have a second shooter, but perhaps the budget wasn't available. In the U.K. the rates for second shooters has stayed relatively static for a while now, but bringing along a second photographer to a destination wedding increases the cost dramatically with travel, expenses and accommodation to consider.
I live in Croatia full time, so if you need a second shooter or just someone to carry your gear, get in touch and let's see how I can support you as the primary photographer. Why - well, I love taking photos and the buzz that a wedding brings. I also get the opportunity to see how different photographers work, how they manage certain situations. This is not a portfolio building opportunity for me, this me working for you, helping you deliver to your client.
My fee, well in an ideal world I will shoot for free and then if the opportunity arises I would ask you to return the favour in the future. Practically that probably won't happen in most cases, but I'm happy to chat and work something out.
For couples getting married in Croatia. Do you need a second photographer ?
Well, like most things, it depends.
A second shooter can offer a multitude of benefits, like having an extra set of eyes to capture moments from different angles and perspectives, providing a richer narrative of the event. It can help to provide a more comprehensive coverage of the day and allows the main shooter, to focus on capturing the key events.
Hiring a second shooter could be seen as just an added luxury; but think of it as a strategic move that can significantly enhance the quality of your photography on your wedding day. In the fast-paced environment moments can pass by in the blink of an eye. Having two photographers on the scene allows for a more dynamic representation of the occasion, as one can focus on the main events while the other captures candid interactions, details, and emotions that might otherwise go unnoticed
Moreover, a second shooter can act as a safety net for the main photographer. Equipment can fail, and unforeseen circumstances might arise that could hinder coverage. With a second shooter, there is always a backup in place
A final thought, some photographers prefer to work alone and if you have say less than say 50 guests, you probably won't need a second shooter. Ultimately, The you need to find a photographer who's style you love and go with them. then take their advice on whether you should add a second shooter or not.
